Embrace is pleased to announce that Silverstein will celebrate their 10-year anniversary by performing their entire four album catalog over four nights at the Toronto’s famed El Mocambo club this March. 2003’s When Broken is Easily Fixed, 2005’s Discovering The Waterfront, 2007’s Arrivals & Departures, and 2009’s A Shipwreck In The Sand will be spotlighted on March 18th, 19th, 20th and 21st respectively. Each night will feature the record from start to finish followed by an encore that features fan favourites, rare songs, and requests from their entire discography.
Silverstein is a 5-piece post-hardcore band from Burlington, Ontario, Canada. In 2000, the band formed their union, not in hopes of grandeur but wrought of their youthful love of music and a vision to meld disparate emo, hardcore and metal influences, ranging from the Get Up Kids to Grade, Penfold to Poison the Well. The band name was taken from the famous children’s author Shel Silverstein. In 2006, Silverstein was nominated for a Juno Award in the “Best New Band” category.
