From a report by PITCHFORK:
Here’s a shocker: the release of Rebirth, Lil Wayne’s utterly dubious rock album, has been pushed back. As MTV points out, Cash Money CEO Birdman broke the news on his Twitter, in this nigh-incomprehensible torrent of capital letters: “REBIRTH ALBUM PUSHBACK FEB.1 YOUNGMONEY CMIN OUT DEC.21 YADIG YM CMB”.
Let’s untangle that. Rebirth is now due February 1– which means its release will come in the same month that Wayne will receive his prison sentence for attempted gun possession, a crime to which he pleaded guilty in October. Rebirth was originally slated to come packaged with We Are Young Money, the first album from Wayne’s Young Money crew. But now We Are Young Money will come out all by itself on December 21. Yadig?
