Lil Wayne is gonna drop a new album and then get dropped off at the Big House.
The 27-year-old Grammy winner, whose government name is Dwayne Carter, was sentenced to a year in prison today after he pleaded guilty to felony gun charges in Manhattan Criminal Court earlier this year.
Carter, who is free on bail, will head to jail on Feb. 9
Cops discovered a loaded 9-mm handgun on Carter’s tour bus when he was headlining a show in Manhattan two years ago. Officials pulled over the bus near Columbus Circle in July 2007 after claiming they saw and smelled marijuana smoke wafting out of the door outside the concert venue.
