Chiodos play first show with new frontman

Chiodos performed their first ever show with new frontman Brandon Bolmer Thursday night as special guests at the AP Tour stop in Bakersfield, California.

Playing third on the six-band bill between Every Avenue and the Cab, Chiodos took the stage after a short delay due to technical difficulties. New vocalist Bolmer, formerly of Yesterdays Rising, was the final member to walk out and he did so to a roaring crowd. After an intro song and without any special introduction for Bolmer, the band went straight into “The Undertaker's Thirst for Revenge Is Unquenchable (The Final Battle)” from 2007's Bone Palace Ballet. Chiodos debuted three new songs during the seven-song set that also included “A Letter from Janelle” (also from Bone Palace Ballet) and “The Words Best Friend Become Redefined” and “Baby, You Wouldn’t Last A Minute on the Creek” from 2005’s All’s Well That Ends Well. The crowd was overwhelmingly approving throughout and Bolmer thanked them for their acceptance. After the show, Bolmer tweeted: “Great first show with my new brothers @Chiodos – Come watch us at Bamboozle this Saturday in Anaheim.”
