Juliet Simms to appear on season 2 of The Voice

According to the Twitter account of Juliet Simms (Automatic Loveletter), the singer will be featured on Season 2 of the popular televised music competition The Voice.

Today Juliet tweeted the following:

Haha just found out I’m gonna be on The Voice..wonder if they’ll let me cover Automatic Loveletter?

Last season, Dia Frampton (Meg & Dia) placed second in the competition. Is this ok? Should profiting recording artists be able to compete on television talent competitions? Let us know in the comments.

The Voice has its own rules.  I just watched the 8 finalists in Las Vegas on Saturday night.  Every performer was so fantastic.  The Meg and Dia band had a following but never made any money to speak of.  If this lets more of the world hear a wonderful voice, let her compete.  I loved the Voice for the fact that the talent was so deep.  It even made me wonder if the judges could have competed against their own contestants.

  2. I really don’t think that Juliet should be able to perform. Since she already has played on Warped, and has this amazing band! Maybe she should let someone that is also talented come up and try to make it as big as she is. No hate to Juliet or ALL. I love them both. But I think it’s somewhat unfair to the other competitors.

    Thank you,
        Kelc.

It’s something different, that is good. Besides it’ll be nice to see her get a bigger name for herself

  4. I agree with you, Juliet has been a full time musician for years and has throngs of fans. Pitting her against actual nobodies seems more than a bit unfair.

    what a waste of time

I love Automatic Loveletter and Juliet Simms, but this is definitely not right. She’s already had albums, top songs, and she was featured in an All Time Low song for Christ’s sakes.

Automatic Loveletter hasn’t had any hit songs, they aren’t a relevant band, and are probably done. Let alone the fact that they haven’t made hardly any money at all. Try again.
