Those of you in love with guttural growls and chugs are about to have a pretty shitty day. After months of rumors, Oceano have announced they will be disbanding in the near future.

A member of Oceano took the group’s official Facebook last night, after a previous status update from the group asking former Killswitch Engage vocalist Howard Jones to send in a demo was taken by some fans as an inquiry for a new vocalist. The post reads:

Just to clear everything up, Oceano is NOT looking for a new singer. New England Metal and Hardcore Festival will be one of the last Oceano shows ever, and yes, Adam will be there. Thanks for all of your support.

At this time, no further comment from the band or their representation is available. We are expecting more details to surface in the coming weeks and will update you as soon as the information is received. Until then, click past the jump and enjoy Oceano one more time.
