DAMMIT: Harrison Ford Rumored To Be In Talks For Blade Runner Sequel

twitchfilm.com is reporting that Harrison Ford is in talks to be in the Blade Runner sequel. The upcoming Ridley Scott project has been confirmed for some time now, but this is new information. Considering that producer Andrew Kosove has been quoted saying that the new Blade Runner project will have nothing to do with Harrison Ford this can only be confirmed as a rumor at this time.

Now, there are several reasons Grandpa Solo cannot be in this movie. Setting aside the fact that the man is 400 years old and sounds like a cross between Mush Mouth and a cement mixer, his character from the original film is done. It has always been debated that Deckard was, in fact, a replicant himself. Hell, even Ridley Scott has said that he was. If Scott considers Deckard a replicant, then he should in no way put Ford in to a sequel, as Deckard cannot age, and may have been “retired” at the hands of another Blade Runner.

Do not get too excited at hearing rumored news of Ford being in the new Blade Runner project. This is very unlikely and would be a slap in the face to fans of the original. What is far more likely is Ford helping in some other way, perhaps as a producer. Ridley Scott knows better, and I have faith in the man that created the original Sci-Fi masterpiece. 1. A Blade Runner sequel….a BLADE RUNNER SEQUEL!  Wrong, so wrong.  I’d stomach a remake over a sequel.
