Fred Durst has gone on record claiming the latest material from numetal act Limp Bizkit is helping create “the heaviest, most crazy metal record of all time.”
Before you grab your pitchforks and torches, let’s back up a bit. Durst spoke with Billboard recently about all the action in his Limp Bizkit camp and today the interview finally went live. In the piece, Durst makes the ridiculous claim above, then follows it moments later with the reveal that this “most crazy metal record of all time” is actually going to be an EP entitled The Unquestionable Truth Part 2. We ran a rough live recording of Limp Bizkit’s new Lil Wayne-assisted track last week, but from what I heard it was nowhere near the greatest metal recording of all time. To be fair though, Durst does claim in the article that song will be given away and it not intended for the album.
Maybe the entire blogosphere is wrong. Maybe Limp Bizkit really are hard at work at the next album that will change everything. I’m not saying I think that’s the case, but it is possible. Right?
