It seems like every day or two we get a new trailer, clip, or leak from Ridley Scott’s Prometheus which will be hitting theaters in just over two short weeks.
Normally it’s another hint, or teaser, or glimpse at something that is super cool and secretive. Naturally, we want to know everything about what we are seeing before everyone else, so we search the web for ideas or clues and talk to others about it.
On a related note, isn’t 20th Century Fox brilliant? Whomever is managing their marketing and promotional team has been doing a first class job at generating hype. It’s hype like this that has been the downfall of many the potential summer blockbuster (Cloverfield anyone?), but we have high hopes that Scott will come through and give us all something special.
Inside we have a tv spot that has been seen in the past 2 days. In it we see a glimpse of something big. The biggest creature we’ve seen yet and it looks upset about something. Check it out here and, of course, Spoiler Alert.

That f*cker looks big to me. This is far more than a facehugger folks. This creature falls more into the family that the snake in one of the other Prometheus trailer does.
What I find most interesting here is not the larger flailing appendages of our new friend, but rather the poor victim it has in it’s full grasp. That is most definitely a Space Jockey. Up until this point, I was convinced that the Space Jockeys were the sole antagonists in the film; but now I begin to wonder if perhaps they had some issues or questions of their own to deal with BEFORE the crew of the Prometheus arrived.
This clip only provides us with more questions, but I have a feeling more will be answered soon enough. What is this creature? Who are the Space Jockeys? Who’s head does Shaw have in a bag and why was launching herself into a gigantic windstorm worth retrieving it (this one was leaked)? Who knows?

Why are they spoiling the movie?! The marketing people at Fox really need to stop giving so much away. I was really looking forward to this movie but every clip they release every other week is just ruining the whole film. They keep showing stuff we need to wait to see in theaters. I was hoping to be totally suprised by this movie, but instead i’m just going to go into the theater knowing everything that’s going to happen because I’VE ALREADY SEEN IT.
I think it’s pretty obvious the head in the bag is the engineer head you see them examining in the first trailer, which was released months ago. There was also a scene in a later trailer where you see some of the crew examining a similar head in the temple. These questions have already been answered.
Good point, there has been so much info, I’ve been losing track.
There better be a xenomorph in this.
