In one of the odder stories of this weekend, a 22 year old man fell forty feet into a gorge while attempting to sneak into a recent Nickelback show in Saratoga Springs, New York. Yes…he was trying to sneak into a Nickelback concert. As you would guess, the man was heavily intoxicated when he attempted the feat. Luckily for him, firefighters were able to rescue him after his tumble (but not from his embarrassment).

The man lost his footing and fell into Geyser Brook Gorge. He was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for cuts and bruises and later released from the hospital. No criminal charges were pressed.

Nickelback were playing a set at Performing Arts Centre in Saratoga Springs. The Centre’s president, Marcia White, explained,

Last evening an individual who appeared to be intoxicated, and who was outside the venue, apparently lost his footing and slipped down the embankment that runs along SPAC’s Route 50 parking lot.

No word on whether he got to see the show. There is also no word on whether he has any friends left.
