Coheed and Cambria Release Tracklist for New Album

Coheed and Cambria

Prog-rockers Coheed and Cambria released the tracklist today for their new album The Afterman: Ascension which comes out on October 9. These nine songs are the first part of a two part release, with a second part called The Afterman: Descension coming out in February. Some may complain about it only being nine songs, but with a two part structure to the release I’m totally okay with it. Think of it as prolonging the great experience.

Also Coheed released a trailer for their new music video “Domino the Destitute,” and judging from the trailer, we’re in for a real treat. It gives a really cool Raging Bull vibe that I’m excited for. Coheed and Cambria have never been one to shy away from creating a totally immersive, expansive musical experience, and these new albums are definitely going to follow suit. For those that are really into the story aspect of their albums, The Afterman albums will be a storyline that is a part of the Amory Wars universe, but deals with new characters. I’m in, are you?

Go through the break to check out the tracklist for the new album, as well as the trailer for “Domino The Destitute.” Let us know if you’ve been following the story.
