Sony Confirms ‘Hotel Transylvania 2’ For 2015 Release

There are quite a few animated franchises enjoying big wins at the box office these days, but it may come as a surprise to you that none of them belong to Sony Pictures. You could argue The Smurfs fit into this, CGI creatures in real world settings is a completely different field of filmmaking (and this conversation just became far too nerdy for the majority of its readers).

Anyway, Sony believes they may have finally struck gold and have announced plans to release Hotel Transylvania 2 in September 2015. No plot details have been revealed at this time, but 3 years should give Adam Sandler and crew enough time to find magic once again.

If you’re amongst the few film addicts that has yet to give this film a chance (perhaps because Adam Sandler is not the most reliable star these days), check out what our friends at The Hipster Dad had to say about their experience at Hotel Transylvania. Yes, it is more a story about his daughter’s first trip to the movies than a full-on review, but when it comes to family entertainment in the modern era there is something to be said for films or events that can actually be enjoyable for people of all ages and allow for memories like the one they share to be made. This Fall, Hotel Transylvania is that film, and with any luck there will be another in just under 36 months.

  1. Aw shucks thanks for the mention guys!! -C

  2. The first was silly and fun, but it’ll be interesting to see if Sandler can pull it off again. I’m putting $5 right now babies being somehow involved.
