Chino Moreno is a weird, infrequent tweeter. After about five seconds of scrolling through the timeline of the Deftones frontman one will reach last years dusty microblogged missives.
He’s not big on communication either. Rather than building a rapport with his fans or efficiently sharing pertinent release or tour information, Moreno just wants to turn his followers onto as much music as possible. Who knew that Moreno is a Frankie Avalon fan? (And who knew that Frankie Avalon was this good?!)
Which makes Moreno’s somewhat cryptic tweet about his dormant Team Sleep project all the more intriguing.
“Waking up the team…” Moreno relayed on Tuesday to his 33,451 followers. In the same tweet, Moreno linked to a video of Team Sleep performing “Formant” live at the House of Blues in Dallas, Texas way back in 2007.

So does this mean Moreno will be reviving his atmospheric, genre-bending side project? I mean, he just released a record with his more famous atmospheric, genre-bending project. How much atmospheric, genre-bending music can one man produce?
