Wale Debuts “Clappers” Featuring Juicy J And Nicki Minaj

Maybach Music Group member Wale is hoping to create a new summer anthem this week with the release of his latest single, “Clappers.”

Set against a beat filled with clap tracks and bass, “Clappers” is the kind of song you’d expect to hear once a party is already in full swing. Picture a house party around 1AM, after everyone has had a few drinks and the music has become so loud you cannot hear the person next to you speak. You know you should probably take a breather, but the night feels young and you decide to party with no care for how you’ll feel when you wake the next day. If you could set a song to the moment when you decide “let’s rage,” this would be that song. You can stream “Clappers” at the end of this post.

Everyone will be talking about how Wale and Juicy J demolish this track, but I think there is something special about the bars from Nicki Minaj. She has almost entirely moved into pop music as far as her solo efforts are concerned, but every now and then she comes through on a completely ignorant jam and proves she still knows how to spit with the best of them. Comment below and let us know what you think of “Clappers.”
