STREAM: David Lynch – ‘The Big Dream’

With one week to go until you can hold a physical copy of the new David Lynch album, The Big Dream, Pitchfork has announced the album is up for streaming in its entirety on their website. Listen to it here.

If you’ve given “Are You Sure” a listen already, then you’ll be prepared for how the rest of the album follows suit. The Big Dream carries unexpected punches, including the western bass-driven “Star Dream Girl”, and slower plays like “The Ballad of Hollis Brown” with equal ease. It’s odd, intriguing, and bobs smoothly with watered-down vocals. Pick up a physical copy of the album when it’s released on July 16.

Should The Big Dream not float your boat, revert back to Lynch’s other main career as a director and watch his music video for Nine Inch Nails’ “Came Back Haunted”. It’s equally glitchy and odd, but Trent’s vocals are miles different than Lynch’s.
