Cults to Release Sophmore Album

Indie pop band Cults are set to return with a sophomore album on October 15. The album, called Static, will be out through Columbia Records seeing help from Shane Stoneback and Ben Allen (Animal Collective, Youth Lagoon). Static is following up after their easy-to-love self-titled debut from 2011.

Accompanying this announcement is a video which you can watch below. A small TV displays static with their new song, “We’ve Got It,” playing softly in the background. It cuts off to a black screen before lighting back up with the logo of Static. It’s a little eerie and reminiscent of The Ring, but no drenched girl comes crawling out of the TV. Nightmare averted.
