EXCLUSIVE: I See Stars Delay ‘New Demons’ Release Until October

Michigan’s I See Stars have been confusing fans a bit as of late. Their long-awaited new album, New Demons, was originally scheduled for an early August 2013 release. July came and went with almost no mention of a new album from the band, and fans slowly put together that they would likely be waiting a bit longer to hear new music from the self-proclaimed ‘electronic hardcore’ outfit.

Cut to Mid-August. Taking to their official instagram, I See Stars posted the cover art for New Demons along with a message that informed fans the album had now been scheduled for release September 17. Blogs covered the story within hours of the photo being posted, fans got excited, and then – nothing. Weeks went by, a new tour was announced, but no additional album information became available.

We realized this morning that we’re now 4 days from when New Demons was said to be hitting stores and not even an iTunes preorder has been made available to fans. We reached out to Sumerian for comment and were quickly informed the album has been pushed back yet again to a currently unannounced day in October. An official announcement is expected soon.

Before rumors begin flying as to the cause of this delay, we should note Sumerian told us the changes were made to more properly setup the album’s release. The band is stronger than ever and hopes this album will be their biggest to date.

We’ll bring you more information as it becomes available. Follow UTG on Twitter for the latest entertainment news.

I See Stars is currently the most inspiring group of musicians, and they’re all younger than I am! I hope they don’t stop. Truly a spectacular band.
