Marc Jacobs Pulls T-Shirt Design that Looks like Neo-Nazi Punk Band Skrewdriver LP Artwork

We’re not a fashion blog, but we needed to share this with you. According to NYMag, clothing designer Marc Jacobs recently released a new shirt in his clothing line that inadvertently rips off the design from the 1987 LP Boots & Braces, by the infamous neo-nazi/white power punk band Skrewdriver.

A spokesperson from Marc Jacobs said: “It has been brought to our attention that the imagery on a T-shirt of ours is similar to that used by a band. We were not trying to make a connection to that band or make a statement of any kind. We have removed the stock of the shirt from our own stores and offer our retail partners the same opportunity.”

The t-shirt, which cost $68 on the Marc Jacobs store, has been pulled, and the company encourages retailers to pull the design from their stores as well. I don’t know much about the fashion world, but I don’t know how this oversight even happened without someone in such a large company catching it. This just goes to show that you shouldn’t just take images and use them without doing a proper background check.

We’ve provided comparison image through the break, as well as a song from the band’s LP they ripped off, just so you can understand the context of what Marc Jacobs did. Pretty ridiculous.

Marc Jacobs is a cruel manipulator who wants to control the entire fashion world. He’s been stealing the ideas of a designer called Angel Barta for 5 years. He keeps her in psycho terror. Read the truth with evidences on: styleangelique blogspot
