Pennsylvania’s own Rivers Of Nihil are set to release their upcoming album, The Conscious Seed Of Light, via Metal Blade on October 15. So far we’ve heard one single from the album, the ultra-punishing “Rain Eater,” and now the band is streaming another track off the album, entitled “Mechanical Trees.” The aptly titled No Clean Singing has the exclusive honors.
Much like “Rain Eater,” the new track features an unavoidable onslaught of shredding guitars, blastbeats, and guttural vocals to get you your brutal death metal fix. With some dark atmospheric tones and post-rock-like guitar work (possibly due to the band’s Cloudkicker influence), “Mechanical Trees” expands beyond the sounds of a basic death metal offering with four and a half minutes of epicness.
