Whether you’re a longtime Get Up Kids fan or a new convert just discovering Matt Pryor‘s work through his solo releases and The New Amsterdams, you know that he’s among the best and most active songwriters in this scene. He’s already released on full-length in 2013 (The New Amsterdams’ Outroduction), and his next solo effort, Wrist Slitter, is out this Tuesday, November 12.
You can stream a new song from the album, “Words Get In the Way,” over at AV Club. The song has the same folky bounce and personal lyrics that Pryor fans have come to expect from his post-Get Up Kids work, and it features a guest appearance by Punchline frontman Steve Soboslai.
If you like the tune, preorder Wrist Slitter right here.
