You may not be familiar with the name of Fadeaway Records, but scroll through the discography page on their site, and you might just come across one of your favorite bands. The small label put out just nine records, but among them are releases by The Movielife, Miracle of ’86, and Brand New. After a long hiatus, owners Michael Dubin and Neil Rubenstein announced today that Fadeaway Records will be returning as a nonprofit record label.
Their first new release, which they will be working on with Enjoy The Ride Records, will be a 3xLP compilation featuring over thirty unreleased songs. The tracklist hasn’t been announced yet, but the teaser poster, which you can see after the break, includes quite a few familiar faces, including Jesse Lacey, Kevin Devine, Motion City Soundtrack, Matt Pryor, and Andy Hull, just to name a few.
100% of the proceeds from the compilation, which goes on sale in February, will go to cancer research.
