Kanye Shortens ‘Yeezus’ Follow-Up To Just Eight Songs

According to NME.com, self-proclaimed rap genius Kanye West plans to shorten the follow-up to 2013’s Yeezus to just eight songs.

“I think my next album is going to be eight songs,” he said during an interview with architect James Herzog at Art Basel Miami. “It’s just reducing down the amount of information that you need. People say a design is the point where you can’t take anything else away. [Yeezus] was very, very designed.”

Q-Tip has also announced on Jay-Z’s Life and Times blog that he’ll be working on the new Kanye West album with Rick Rubin.

Kanye’s follow-up will be released in the summer of 2014. Watch Q-Tip’s interview with Elliot Wilson below.
