Not content to give “Loot My Body” the standard treatment of a live video or a lyric video – or perhaps unable to choose between the two – Man Man have given the song a fusion of the two.

The video treatment for the sixth track off of last year’s On Oni Pond – which has a fun Wikipedia page – contains the most ostentatious bits of both worlds. The lyric parts are never the same, with quite the diverse swath of colors, fonts, and presentations. Also, there’s nothing quite like seeing the lyrics of Honus Honus spelled out for you. The live component is Man Man tour footage, which is fairly standard in how weird it is: big masks, bright lights, wild hair and wilder outfits, prone bodies, and general nuttiness.

It’s a live/lyric video from Man Man, meaning it’s going to be one of the wackier examples of either form that we’re apt to see. If there’s on thing to take from this, it’s the fact that you should probably not miss Man Man next time the band stumbles into your area.
