Keeping fans’ appetite for new music satiated while he puts the finishing touches on his debut album, These Things Happen, G-Eazy has released a free track featuring Christoph Andersson titled “Tumblr Girls.”

The second of three new songs promised today, January 23, “Tumblr Girls” is another chill jam that finds G discussing the women in his life. He depicts a relationship that does more harm than good against deep bass and thick synth, and confesses that even though he recognizes that she could destroy his world he can never stay away for very long. It shouldn’t happen, but it still does. You can stream and download “Tumblr Girls” below.

There are certainly elements of “Tumblr Girls” that introduce new ideas into G’s formula, but it’s not such a great departure for the Must Be Nice rapper that anything seems foreign to the listener. This is by the books Eazy, with just a dash of fresh ideas sprinkled on to keep things exciting.
