For all you Electronic Dance Music fans out there, there’s something gnarly currently making its way through the U.S, as Smog City Records has put together one stacked tour for EDM fans to go nuts over. The tour features roughly 11 acts total, which will be rotating throughout the tour, minus your main headliner, 12th Planet. Throughout the tour, different cities will be seeing such artists as Protohype, Two Fresh, Steady, Starkey, SPL, Son of Kick, HeRobust, Flinch, DLX and Antiserum. Now, you may be asking yourself “who and what is Smog?” Well, to answer your question, Smog is one of the founding brands for the North American dubstep and bass music movement.
The tour itself packs a lot of punch and with myself being from Michigan, I’m excited to see what what these artists are bringing to the table when they make their way to The Crofoot on February 8.
To give you a little preview, here’s some of the artists that are rolling through my neck of the woods in a couple weeks.
12TH PLANET
Hailing from Los Angeles, CA, his tracks bring out a futuristic type style with lots of heart-pounding bass and memorable beats that will make an EDM fan remember him.
PROTOHYPE
Yet another artist hailing from Los Angeles, CA, Protohype brings more hard hitting bass to the table combined with some growls, some vocals, making this yet another artist to look forward to seeing.
HEROBUST
An artist coming out from the southern state of Atlanta, GA, HeRobust brings out the edgy synth side of EDM compacted with build ups that will only make your body move as soon as that drop hits.
TWO FRESH
Comprised of brothers, these Nashville stars throw together tracks comprised with hip hop influences that will make any music fan go crazy.
STEADY
Coming out from the West Coast, Steady has been a solid contributor within the dubstep community, bringing out some of the most epic tracks I’ve heard.
This tour will be running through the U.S for the next few weeks and when it comes to your town, you need to go!
