UK electronic musician and producer SBTRKT is prepping to release a new 12″ of instrumental tracks this year, and Mary Anne Hobbs’ BBC 6 Music got to premiere one of them over the weekend. The song, called “Hold The Line,” is a rather peaceful track that’s more for listening to than dancing — although, with all of SBTRKT’s work, that’s still possible.
“Hold The Line” is one of the several songs that will be on his upcoming EP, Transitions. He will also be releasing a new full-length later this year. When he sent the track over to the station, he also included a note saying the following:
“These tracks will form a collection of vinyl 12″s before my next album and its singles, maybe a digital release, too. They’ll be out in a couple of months. All instrumental stuff along the lines of the music I put out on Ramp or the early Young Turks releases.”
