For many post-hardcore fans, Chiodos were an entry point into the genre, and the Michigan band’s first two full-lengths are still regarded as landmark albums, so it’s no surprise that their fourth album, Devil, is one of the year’s most anticipated releases. With a revamped lineup, including the return of original vocalist Craig Owens and the addition of the Fall of Troy guitarist Thomas Erak, and a crushing first single already in fans’ hands, Chiodos seem poised to dominate the post-hardcore world in the coming months.
In anticipation of its April 1 release date, the band have posted a “Making The Album” video for Devil. The clip features interviews with band members and producer David Bottrill that offer insight into the writing and recording process of the album. Check out the video after the break. While preorders for the album are yet to launch, you can stream the lead single, “Ole Fishlips Is Dead Now,” right here.
