Kevin Hart Is Helping Will Ferrell Prepare For Prison

Kevin Hart is everywhere right now. He has two movies in the top 10 at the box office, as well as one of the most watched comedy specials on Netflix. He’s never been more in the spotlight than he is at this moment and in order to stay there he’s going to have to announce a few major projects in the months ahead. Oh wait…

The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Kevin Hart will star opposite Will Ferrell in a new comedy called Get Hard. The film, which is being directed by Etan Cohen (Men In Black 3 writer), follows an innocent man who is convicted of a crime and prepares for prison with help from the man who washes his car. Ferrell is the innocent man. Hart is the car washer. Is he an ex-con? Probably not.

The script for Get Hard was written by Ian Roberts and Jay Martel, who are executive producers on Comedy Central’s Key & Peele. No information on production dates or promotional efforts have been revealed at this time.

Get Hard is scheduled for release March 27, 2015. It will open against Neil Blomkamp’s sci-fi actioner Chappie and Fox’s The Penguins of Madagascar.
