Following a relatively quiet 2013, earlier today Coldplay returned to the limelight by unveiling a new single, titled “Midnight.” You can check out the track’s official music video after the break.

Mary Wigmore, the godmother of vocalist Chris Martin’s daughter, Apple, directed the clip, which is shot in infrared and runs just over five minutes long. It has not yet been confirmed if this newest effort will be featured on the group’s sixth album, which is presently in the works.

The atmospheric tune is a stark divergent from the band’s previously released material, and as many media outlets have began to point out, could easily pass for some lost track off of Bon Iver’s 2011 self-titled LP. I dig it a lot; comment below and let UTG know how you feel.
