Tame Impala and Kendrick Lamar Rework “Feels Like We Only Go Backwards” for Soundtrack

Yes, you read that correctly. Australian psychedelic rockers Tame Impala and hip hop’s biggest new kid Kendrick Lamar are teaming up to rework Lonerism single “Feels Like We Only Go Backwards.”

They’re calling the new version “Backwards” and, according to Billboard, Lamar will be taking on the vocal part as Tame Impala back him up. The song is part of the soundtrack for the new science fiction film Divergent and includes songs by other big names like M83, Skrillex and Ellie Goulding (who somehow got away with four songs on the soundtrack). The soundtrack will be released early next month.
