Lupe Fiasco surprised fans last night with the premiere of not one, but two brand new tracks. This post is about the first of the pair, which features Outkast and pretty much cements Lupe’s presence as one of hip-hop’s finest for yet another year.
Channeling hints of “Rosa Parks” without becoming too Aquemini, “Snitches” pairs a smooth hook from Ty with some of Lupe’s hottest bars in recent memory. It’s the kind of track that carries an old school vibe, feeling almost as if it could have been released at the height of the 90s, but with lyrical content influenced by modern cultural trends. You can stream the single below.
There is another new song from Lupe making its way around the net right now, and we promise to feature it right here on UTG in the not too distant future. Follow us on Twitter for updates.
