Listen To New of Montreal Single Off Record Store Day 7″

Earlier today, Stereogum premiered the of Montreal song “Jigsaw Puzzle.” Recorded during the making of their most recent full-length, last year’s Lousy With Sylvianbriar, the track carries a familiar contradiction of miserable lyrics sung with loud exuberance. The narrator’s love has found someone new and the pieces to complete the titular puzzle are missing, but that doesn’t prevent it from being a blissful, irresistible headbobber in the slightest.

The song will be on a 7″ included in the band’s Record Store Day release. That release is a 10-year anniversary remaster of 2004’s Satanic Panic in the Attic, a two-disc reissue that includes the 7″ and a second disc of unrealesed tracks from the Satanic sessions. This year’s Record Store Day will be on Saturday, April 19.
