Modern Baseball are riding a wave of publicity and acclaim following the February release of their Billboard chart-topping album You’re Gonna Miss It All. Today, the Pennsylvania emo pop (yea, that’s what I called them) outfit partnered with Noisey to premiere their official video for “Your Graduation.” The clip, just like the song, is crazy good, and it might just be the best thing you hear all week.

It’s hard to describe why people love Modern Baseball. Their lyrics are simple, their voices aren’t exactly top 40 material, and there is almost nothing commercial about their image. Alternative fans cannot get enough of them though, and after hearing “Your Graduation” it’s likely you will understand why. You can view the video below.

There is something magical about what Modern Baseball are doing here, and though I cannot describe it specifically or give ‘it’ a proper name I am already seated on the group’s bandwagon waiting for them to unveil their major move. “Your Graduation” is the kind of universally relatable song that has the power to propel the band to various levels of quasi-pop punk fame faster than even their biggest fans can probably imagine. It happened to The Wonder Years a few short years ago and it could very well happen to Modern Baseball in 2014.
