‘300: Rise of An Empire’ Rises Over Box Office

The Spartan return to the big screen proved to overpower the rest of the box office, debuting over the weekend with $45,050,000. Though Rise of An Empire has received mediocre reviews, it seems that the allure of Spartan violence still bleeds through. Last week’s number one title, Non-Stop, has been bumped down to the number three spot, with an earning of $15,378,000. Second newcomer, Mr. Peabody & Sherman, claimed the number two spot, debuting at $32,500,000.

The much loved Lego Movie is still bringing in audiences, with earning $11,005,000 this week, and a total gross of over $220,000,000. Family favorite Frozen is still going strong, adding to its total gross of $393,051,000.
