Adestria Announce New Album & Stream New Single

It’s been a while since the last time we wrote about Adestria. They released one of my favorite albums in 2012, titled Chapters. They’ve been on and off the road since then, and are even heading out on tour with Upon This Dawning next month. Fans knew the band was planning on releasing a new album in the near future, and now they’ve revealed some details for it. They will drop their sophomore studio album, titled Gilded Hearts, via Artery Recordings on April 29. To make the announcement even sweeter, the band also premiered the debut track. The song is titled “Familiar Enemy,” and you can listen to it below.

“Familiar Enemy” is definitely a step in a different direction for the band. The unclean vocals have a different range, and don’t sound familiar right away. Once you get about a minute into the song though some of the band’s old sound comes through. They’ve definitely changed their sound up a bit though, and it’s worth taking a few minutes to give it a listen.
