Between the spastic ska of Bomb The Music Industry! and the sunny sounds of Fake Problems, respectively, Jeff Rosenstock and Chris Farren have covered a pretty wide range of the punk spectrum and done so with consistently great results. It should come as no surprise that their collaboration, which goes by the name Antarctigo Vespucci, is just as good. The duo released their first song today, and you can stream it after the break.
“I’m Giving Up On U2” is (unfortunately?) not a review of No Line On the Horizon in the form of a punk song, but it does feature a catchy, Weezer-esque guitar riff and a chorus you’ll be singing for the rest of the day. The song will appear on Antarctigo Vespucci’s debut album, Soulmate Stuff, out digitally April 8 with a vinyl release to follow in June. The album can be pre-ordered right here.
