The First Footage From ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ Is Here!

The world has been patiently waiting for new information on the upcoming reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and less than one hour ago the first footage of the film’s initial teaser found its way online.

Will Arnett joins Megan Fox as one of the two human accomplices for your four favorite sewer-dwelling crime fighters in this summer’s new film, and earlier today he began making press rounds with an appearance on Today. Before a commercial break on the program, a look at the film’s initial teaser was played. One diligent viewer quickly grabbed their cell phone to capture the moment, and now that brief sneak peak can be found at the end of this post.

No word yet on when the full HD teaser will be uploaded, but we assume it will make its way online at some point today. When you’re investing tens of millions of dollars into digitally-engineered turtles you don’t want cell phone video of the final product to be the only marketing materials available online.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles opens May 16.

Official synopsis:

The city needs heroes. Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April and her wise-cracking cameraman Vern Fenwick to save the city and unravel Shredder’s diabolical plan.
