Florida natives Dikembe first made waves in 2011 with the release of their debut EP, Chicago Bowls. Since then, the Gainesville quartet have held the attention of the burgeoning emo scene through a full-length, Broad Shoulders, and a series of appearances on splits and compilations. Their next release, a split effort with recently reunited emo rockers The Jazz June, is shaping up to be yet another solid entry in their discography.
The split will feature a brand new track from each band. You can stream Dikembe’s contribution, “Healer of the Pride,” after the break. The EP will be available for pre-order soon from Tiny Engines Records (here) and Topshelf Records, and the release date is set for May.
Dikembe will follow the split with their second full-length, due out this summer on Tiny Engines.
