The Matches Announce 10-year Anniversary Show For ‘E. Von Dahl Killed The Locals’

Fans of The Matches rejoice: The band will be playing a reunion show Nov. 8 at Slim’s in San Francisco in celebration of the 10th anniversary of their debut release, E. Von Dahl Killed The Locals.

The performance will feature the original line-up of vocalist and guitarist Shawn Harris, lead guitarist Jon Devoto, bassist Justin San Souci and drummer Matt Whalen. Tickets are $18 and go on sale Sunday, May 18 at 10 a.m. PST via slimspresents.com.

Unfortunately, this is a one time only reunion from the band, much to the disappointment of anyone who had hopes for more new music or tour dates.

Head after the jump to check out a new video of Harris performing “More Than Local Boys” acoustically. The track comes from their 2004 release from Epitaph Records.

Wow, I started reading this and realized how crazy it is that the reunion show is at Slim’s. That’s the only place I’ve seen them and that was 4 separate times. I hung out with Shawn once down the street from there for a good half hour after a show just beatboxing together because my friend locked his keys in the car and we had to wait for AAA.
