REQUIRED LISTENING: Ovlov – “The Great Crocodile”

Back in April, we got word that CT-based band Ovlov and Philly crew Little Big League were putting out a split 7″ together on Tiny Engines. It comes out in August, but today both bands shared songs off the split over at Stereogum because, let’s be honest, there’s no way our anticipation until then wouldn’t drive us insane.

Ovlov’s track, titled “The Great Crocodile,” is a play on their last album’s closer, “The Great Alligator.” It’s a sprawling beast clocking in around six minutes, which means we get time for thick solos, noisy feedback, and some emotional lyrics that will have you so engrossed in it all that you’ll be left a mess come the end.
