Blonde Redhead Announce New Album, Stream “No More Honey”

Its been four years since New York alternative rock group Blonde Redhead put out a new album, but on September 9 the band will drop a new LP titled Barragán via Kobalt Records. The ten-track release serves as the follow-up to 2010’s Penny Sparkle with producing, engineering, and mixing by Drew Brown (Radiohead, Beck) in both Michigan and New York City. To support its release, they have also announced a short slew of international tour dates which can be seen after the jump.

The first single shared is “No More Honey,” which can be streamed below. Kazu Makin’s sleek vocals hum out over a fiddling guitar part, thick bass, and stuttering percussion for what sounds like a hypnotic minimalist rock trip. If it’s felt like more than four years since you’ve heard material from Blonde Redhead (that isn’t compilation tracks), this will more than satisfy your pallet.
