‘Laggies’ Trailer: Keira Knightley And Chloe Grace Moretz Learn A Little Something About Growing Up

Growing up is hard, right? Between paying for school, choosing a career, finding love, keeping love, deciding if you want kids, deciding where to live, and everything in between it can be pretty overwhelming to face the fact your childhood is quickly becoming a blurred memory less and less people can recall. Sometimes it gets so bad, in fact, that you just want to run away, which is exactly what sets into motion the events that take place in the new film Laggies.

Chloe Grace Moretz plays a high school student who no longer feels as if she has anywhere on this planet where she belongs. The distance between her and her friends continues to grow, her dad works too much, and the guys at school have not been noticing her as much as she would like. Keira Knightley’s character has none of these problems, but instead has to deal with a relationship she’s unsure of, a professional outlook that gets more depressing by the day, and parents who have no advice to offer outside their undying love for their little girl. Both need an escape, and as we see in the first trailer for Laggies it seems like they find just that in their newfound, albeit rather unlikely friendship. You can view the clip below:

Sam Rockwell never gets enough love, but he certainly looks to be delivering the goods in this film. Will it win him awards contention? Probably not.

Laggies opens October 24. I think the trailer looks charming, but something about the entire things feels too familiar for its own good. Do you agree? Comment below and let us know your thoughts.
