As summer comes to a close, so too does this year’s Adult Swim Singles Series. Five singles remain, with the first of those five being Deafheaven‘s “From the Kettle Onto the Coil.”

If the title sounds familiar, that would be because we’ve already heard this single. Deafheaven have been playing it live, including at Pitchfork, where it was recorded quite expertly. This is the studio version of that track in all its shrieking, crystal clear glory. It helps bring out some nuances that could get lost live, especially towards the end of the six and a half-minute track.

“From the Kettle Onto the Coil” will be available for free from Adult Swim on Tuesday. The remaining four singles are from RP Boo, Mastodon (ft. Gibby Hayes), Run The Jewels, and KA.
