Cloud Nothings Share Video for “Now Hear In”

Cloud Nothings, with one of the best releases of the first quarter of 2014, Here and Nowhere Else, have posted a video for arguably one of the best songs off the record, “Now Hear In.”

Both song and video are quite eccentric. In the video, it features a man traveling around California in a giant mask, along with some VHS-like, scratchy renders that pair well with the raw guitar lines, The black and white helps focus the fight of loud versus quiet parts of the song, while the old school cinematography goes along with the post-grunge feel that the song has.

In the press release, the band shared that the video deals with “a loose cyclical theme of identity and ego-birth/death.” Interesting take and seemingly congruent with the context of the song. Check out the video below, and let us know what you think.
