UTG PREMIERE: One Fell Swoop – “April Fool’s Gold”

One Fell Swoop

New York-based One Fell Swoop is a band fueled on an aggressive and poetic snarl of driven hardcore music. Today, Under The Gun Review is premiering the band’s new song, “April Fool’s Gold.” The song is a mixture of musicianship, melody and hostility. It’s the type of song with the moxie of Every Time I Die and the respectable composition complication of The Fall of Troy. There’s just a little something for everybody on the track.

The band’s new EP, Last Minute Living, is slated for a November 4 release and can be picked up via Bandcamp. One Fell Swoop’s bassist and vocalist John Rodriguez said this about the track:

“The song is about how as we grow older, we become cynical and jaded and the things that were special to us as kids lose their sentimental value.”
