UTG PREMIERE: The Story Changes – “Politics Behind It”

The Story Changes have returned in full force with the announcement of the band’s new record, Never In Daydream. Containing members of Hawthorne Heights, The Story Changes channel a down-tempo’d, late-’90s essence with the new release, starting with the single, “Politics Behind It.”

Streaming exclusively after the jump, “Politics Behind It” is an energized track, full of triumph and vigor — a brillant display of what fans are to expect on the new record, which is due out Dec. 16 via Little Heart Records. The Story Changes mastermind, Mark McMillon, had this to say about the new release.

“When I listen to these songs off Never In Daydream, I tend to get the same dizzy feeling in my heart that I used to get as a kid in the late ’90s, wide eyed with headphones on. I can’t think of a better feeling to chase. Everything about the writing and recording process of these new songs felt so completely honest and pure. There were no distractions, no game plan, it all just came together quickly and the songs just felt right.”
