Watch the First Trailer for Universal’s Upcoming NWA Biopic, ‘Straight Outta Compton’

Straight Outta Compton, Universal’s upcoming NWA biopic, will hit theatres nationwide next August after nearly five years of development. Back in June, we brought you the news that the film had found its leads, and now, nearly six months later, we are finally able to see these up-and-comers in action.

During a recent Australian performance, executive producer Ice Cube graced attendees with the film’s first trailer, and not surprisingly, a fan-shot video has since found its way online. Check it out below:

Obviously, this clip isn’t of the highest quality, but you get the idea. From all indications, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Jason Mitchell, and Corey Hawkins have all transitioned effortlessly to the big screen, promising breakout performances worthy of the group’s storied history.
