Leon Bridges Shares “Coming Home” Mahogany Session

Fast-rising up and comer Leon Bridges is currently overseas making his first live appearances in Europe. Footage of his performances have yet to appear online, but earlier this week the Texas native visited the folks behind Mahogany Sessions to record a stripped-down version of “Coming Home” you won’t soon forget.

Set in what looks to be an abandoned building, Leon Bridges’ Mahogany Sessions appearance is one that takes place entirely in black and white. The young singer-songwriter from Dallas performs “Coming Home” with accompaniment from a saxophone and a pair of backup dancers, all of whom also appear in the video. It’s simple, but effective, and a lot of that has to do with the insane catchiness of Bridges’ unique voice. You can experience his performance below:

Leon Bridges will next appear at SXSW. We have at least one writer going to Austin that week, so we’re hoping to have some words, pictures and maybe even video of Bridges in the not too distant future. Stay tuned.
