The Illumination have gone through a transformation since their debut release through InVogue Records in 2013. The group has changed from a five-piece to a three-piece, and have since decided to move from a post-hardcore sound to more of a rock sound. To give fans a little taste of their new sound, the group has released an acoustic version of their single “A Chance To Change My Ways” – which was taken from their album Departures. They teamed up with Absolutepunk to premiere the song, and you can also give it a listen below.
Frontman Rod Pires had the following to say about the reimagined version of the song:
“We are extremely excited to release the acoustic version of “A Chance To Change My Ways.” This song has helped me understand that in life, when there’s an end, there’s also a new beginning, and we should never apologize for who we are. This ones from the bottom of my heart.”
