The Weeknd may still be enjoying the success of his single “Earned It,” but he’s back today with a new single and video fans are sure to enjoy.

“The Hills” arrives online just two days after a number of unexpected leaks from The Weeknd hit the net (including the incredible “I Can’t Feel My Face“). Whether this release is a response to those leaks or an attempt to better control the conversation remains unclear, but the quality of this material is undeniable. There is very little to the song that is outside the typical sound of The Weeknd, but Abel’s ability to create something altogether hypnotic regardless of production never ceases to amaze.

The video for “The Hills,” which arrived along with the audio, finds Abel walking away from a car accident and immediately proceeding to get lost in his thoughts. It’s an absolutely gorgeous piece of visual entertainment, and it’s worth just as much of your time and attention as the music itself. You can enjoy the clip below.
